Alain HANNOUCHE

Alain heads the Iraq office at Hannouche Associates since September 2010.

Before joining the firm, Mr. Hannouche worked at Taylor-Dejongh, a leading investment bank specialized in international project finance based in Washington, DC. During his time at Taylor-Dejongh Alain participated in the advisory teams of several Project Finance deals in the United States, Southeast Asia and the Middle East ranging from Nuclear Power Plants to National US transportation projects, one of which won the Transportation deal of the year in 2009.

At Hannouche Associates, Alain’s practice focuses on corporate and financial law. Among the diversified mix of clients he advises are regional and international investment companies and individual investors holding ventures in Lebanon and the Middle East area, through procedures ranging from establishing new corporate entities to bond issuance, stock purchase agreements, mergers and acquisitions.

As part of his Iraqi law practice, Mr. Hannouche has been advising clients for more than five years on the legal setup regulating their businesses in the Kurdistan region and Federal Iraq. His expertise has been emphasized by his reporting before several foreign courts as an Iraqi Law expert and through the counseling of major multinational companies operating in Iraq in different fields. Alain has been constantly recognized by several legal directories, among which are the Legal 500 and the Who's Who Legal, as a leading individual in the Iraqi legal market.

Mr. Hannouche is fluent in Arabic, English and French. He holds a Bachelor of Laws from the Saint Joseph University in Beirut, and, a Master of laws in Corporate and Financial Law along with a Master of Science in Finance from the George Washington University Law School and School of Business, in Washington DC. He is also a member of the Beirut Bar Association.
