Jospeh WANIS

Joseph joined Hannouche Associates in 2002.

Mr. Wanis' practice largely concentrates on the fields of Arbitration and Criminal Procedure. Joseph represents individual and corporate clients in arbitration procedures in Lebanon and the Arab Gulf. He has led the firm's arbitration practice to regular favorable outcomes in several complicated arbitrations.

As for his Criminal Procedure practice, Mr. Wanis represents a wide array of clients in front of specialized courts like communitarian and military courts where ad hoc procedures are followed. His expertise in the field, has enabled him to write a book on the “Jurisdiction of Military courts in Lebanon”, becoming the only reference on the subject matter in the country.

Joseph is fluent in Arabic, French and English. He received his Bachelor of Laws from the Lebanese University Law School in 2001 and his Master of Laws in General Private Law from the Sagesse University Law School in 2003. He is a member of the Beirut Bar Association.

Mr. Wanis is also a skilled orator and an avid human rights activist, often speaking at conferences and conventions. He previously ran for parliamentary elections.
