After losing his eyesight, Michel established Hannouche Associates in 1988, and managed to grow the firm to its current leading status through more than two decades of devoted legal practice.
Michel’s practice focuses on real estate law, corporate law and civil contracts. He advises clients in a wide array of industries ranging from real estate development and construction companies to auto manufacturers, major jewelry manufacturers and foreign investment funds.
In addition, Mr. Hannouche has acted as the advisor of several Gulf Cooperation Council companies on issues related to their interests and investments in Lebanon and the Middle East.
His status as one of the top legal advisors in the region, along with his wide experience in large complicated cross-border transactions, has led parliamentary committees and governments to ask for his contribution in drafting several laws and regulations. In addition, he serves as a member of the board of directors of several companies.
On another note, Michel established in 1987 a charitable association whose main goal is the development of handicaps' rights in Lebanon.
He is often invited to speak at conferences related to either his legal or philanthropist experience.
Michel is fluent in Arabic, French and English. He holds a Bachelor and a Master of Laws from the Lebanese University Law School received respectively in 1983 and 1985. He has been a member of the Beirut Bar Association since 1985.
